The board of directors of Belgian exporter Nicolai Fruit has announced that Johan De Gendt has become a member of the executive board and been appointed as the company’s new CEO as of 1 January, Agripress reported.
De Gendt will reportedly take care of the daily management of the company, both at the administrative and commercial level, and ensure the continuity of the firm in the present dynamic environment.
Nicolai Fruit’s objective remains to act as a bridge between the world of fruit and vegetable producers and the retail industry within and without Belgium, ,using its low-cost structure, extensive experience and quality focus.
Former CEO Peter Nicolai will remain active in the day-to-day running of the business as chairman of the board of directors.
