Improved connectivity will support melon exports from Senegal and Mauritania to Europe
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is offering new transport connections ahead of the start of the melon season in Senegal and Mauritania.
“On the occasion of the start of the melon season in Senegal and Mauritania, MSC, to support the export of this product throughout the season, is renewing its independent service between Spain, Mauritania and Senegal, offering new opportunities and better connectivity,” the shipping company said.
MSC will add a new direct stopover at the Port of Sète, in France, serving the French and Italian markets, as well as a call at the Port of Valencia, Spain, a weekly departure from Dakar and Nouakchott; and better transit times from Senegal and Mauritania to the Western Mediterranean.
According to MSC, the service will start from Dakar in mid-February and will rotate between the maritime terminals of Valencia – Sète – Las Palmas – Nouakchott – Dakar – Valencia.
“Our advanced and modern fleet will be deployed on that service to meet the demand for refrigerated containers throughout the season and ensure that your cargo is delivered in the best conditions,” the shipping company said.
