Maersk Line has announced that it is launching a new flagship import service direct from Asia to five markets in North America, including Chicago, Dallas-Forth Worth, Houston, Memphis and northwest Ohio.
The five services feature dedicated non-stop rail services that arrive at an agreed time, with flagship trains bypassing connecting points along the route, allowing for 'superior service velocity'.
'We are extremely excited to introduce this highly reliable and innovative new Transpacific Flagship service to our dry and reefer cargo customers,' said Timothy O'Connell, senior director for trade and marketing at Maersk Line North America.
