Andrea Battagliola has been appointed as the new commercial director of Italian fresh convenience specialist La Linea Verde following the departure of Massimo Bragotto, who has decided to step down after eight years in the role to pursue a new personal project.
Battagliola, son of La Linea Verde’s president Giuseppe Battagliola, has spent the past four years as general director of the company’s Spanish subsidiary, Vegetales Lìnea Verde Navarra, taking care of its marketing and R&D operations.
It is understood that Bragotto will remain with the company for a period of time to enable Battagliola to acclimatise to his new role.
Commenting on the appointment, Giuseppe Battagliola thanked Bragotto for his contribution and looked forward to a new period of the group’s development.
“I am certain that this change will provide new ideas for the entire commercial team to offer increasing coverage and further improve relations with business partners,” he said.
Andrea Battagliola said: “I am very proud of my new role in the company, which comes at the end of more than four years’ experience in Spain, an important and formative training where I could experience on a small scale the business model that the Battagliola family has created.”
He added: “This is a company that truly reflects the values held by our family, where loyalty and transparency, with collaborators and partners, are essential and irreplaceable principles.”
