Capespan

South African export company Capespan has announced that Norman Celliers, CEO of agri-business investment group Zeder Investments, will replace the outgoing Paul Clüver as chairman of the group.

Clüver retired at this week's annual general meeting having been chairman of the group since its inception in 1999 and after 21 years on the boards of Unifruco and Capespan.

Celliers holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and a masters from the University of Oxford in the UK.

He has worked on strategy at leading South African countries and has operational business experience both in South Africa and abroad.

Recent years have seen Celliers move into private equity, developing alternative investment products for investors targeting emerging African markets.

He has been CEO of Zeder Investments since 2012 and serves on the boards of various companies, including Capevin Holdings and the Pioneer Foods Group.
