UK-based Worldwide Fruit has announced that Paul Mansfield was elected as the new chairman of the group at its recent board meeting.
Mansfield, a Fruition PO director and the largest fruit grower in the UK, will be assisted in his position by Snow Hardy, general manager of Enza, who steps in as vice-chairman.
Following his retirement from New Zealand group Turners & Growers (T&G), previous chairman Jeff Wesley has resigned as a director and has been replaced by Geoff Hipkins, T&G's new chief executive officer.
Worldwide Fruit is owned by Fruition PO Ltd and Enza, with each holding a 50 per cent share, supplying the market with topfruit, avocados and stonefruit.
