CHEP pallets

US watermelon group Natures Choice has announced that it has renewed its contract to ship products on pallets from pallet and container pooling service provider Chep, making it the latest in a series of National Watermelon Association (NWA) companies to use the group's pallets.

The company uses CHEP pallets to transport Natures Choice brand watermelons from farms in Immokalee, Zolfo Springs, Marianna and Malone to supermarket retailers, wholesale clubs and distributors throughout the eastern US.

'The most important thing about the CHEP program is that our retail and wholesale customers prefer it to anything else on the market,' said Bruce Mann, secretary/treasurer of Natures Choice Produce. 'It's easy to use, consistent and takes care of the product. The fact that the National Watermelon Association benefits from CHEP’s support of research, promotion and trade activities is a bonus.'

'By using Chep, Natures Choice Produce is helping to drive growth for the whole industry by backing the National Watermelon Association with resources,' said Tim Smith, vice-president for business development at Chep. 'Chep is committed to providing Natures Choice and other NWA members using our solution with the highest quality shipping platform and the best available customer service.'
