Wayne Prowse has left his role as export development manager of Horticulture Australia (HAL), ending some 15 years of service to the organisation. Prowse, who has played an important role in raising the profile of Australian horticulture at key international trade events, revealed he was leaving to set up his own business offering consulting and related services in export development.
Lianne Jones, European field manager at the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association (CFFA), has left her position on 8 July this year. Jones revealed that she was leaving the Chilean organisation to 'begin a new chapter in her professional life'.
Dutch export association Frugi Venta has confirmed that Gert Mulder will take over as director of the group from 1 August 2011. Mulder succeeds Willem Baljeu, who is stepping down after a decade at the helm.
Chiquita’s shareholders have elected Jeffrey Simmons to its board of directors. He will serve on the audit committee and the food innovation, safety and technology committee of the board.
Fresca Group has made a series of senior management changes, recruiting Stephen Swaiston to head up dgm Growers and Mack Vegetables, with Chris Butler taking over the running of mmg citrus from Garry Cirillo. Cirillo takes over at Mack Service, with David Barratt scheduled to leave the segment at the end of August.

Dutch fresh produce company Olympic Fruit has revealed that Marnix van Fraassen, its overseas import manager, is to leave the group in order to start his own company. He will first take 12 months’ gardening leave from the produce business.
The UK marketing manager of leading Dutch cress and micro-vegetable supplier Koppert Cress, Anneke Cuppen, has left the business after four years with the company.
