Horacio Ozer Ami has resigned from his position as general manager of Uruguayan blueberry specialist Midgold after eight years with the company.
Ozer Ami told Americafruit that his tenure at Midgold had been an “incredible and challenging experience”, one which had rewarded him with many pleasant memories, partnerships and friends.
While Ozer Ami said he will continue to work in the berry business he also confirmed his resignation as director of Prima Natura, an emerging importer of South American fruit based in the Netherlands, which counts on partnerships with Midgold and Urud’Or in particular.
Despite his departure, Ozer Ami said Midgold's solid team will ensure the firm's continued expansion and consolidation as one of the leading fresh blueberry suppliers in South America.
Alejandro Sarlo, a partner at Midgold, will assume direction for both Midgold and Prima Natura, according to Ozer Ami.
