German wholesaler Metro Cash & Carry has opened its second city centre store in Paris, in the 12th arrondissement, bringing its network in France to 92 locations.
According to the group, the new outlet's primary focus is to address the daily food needs of local independent grocery stores and restaurants, which are largely dependent on the quick supply of fresh produce to run their businesses.
'We are delighted to extend this distinctive and proven store concept to another district in Paris so our customers can better benefit from Metro's easy access and one-stop offer of quality products and services,' said Joël Saveuse, CEO of Metro Cash & Carry Europe & MENA.
The 3,000m² sales floor also features tailor-made services and solutions, including a demo kitchen, where customers can gain knowledge of new products and culinary innovations.
