The second edition of MEDFEL, the annual event that brings together fresh produce players from the Mediterranean region, is due to take place on 4-6 May in Perpignan.
Approximately 250 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation, according to the organisers, who anticipate closer to 350, significantly higher than last year's 180.
All countries from the region will be present, including Spain, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria and Greece.
Alongside the Europech’ summer fruit harvest forecasts, the fair will this year feature a lecture on “Organic fruit and vegetables grown in the Euro-Mediterranean”, as well as tackling transport and logistics topics such as “the Motorway of the Sea”.
According to organisers, MEDFEL represents 'the strategic meeting-place for Mediterranean market suppliers and buyers/importers from Europe and every other continent'.
