Next year's Medfel exhibition is set to shine a spotlight on apples on its seventh outing, according to Sud de France Développement, the event's co-organiser with the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
The show, which will take place on 21-23 April 2015 in the southern French town of Perpignan, under the patronage of the ministry of agriculture, food and forestry, is designed to bring together fresh produce players in the Mediterranean region.
This year, however, will also witness the launch of Medfel Tech, with a focus on those companies in the Mediterranean providing services upstream of production.
Last year, 5,315 visitors attended Medfel, an increase of 10 per cent over the previous year, while 241 companies exhibited, and the organisers anticipate a further rise in numbers this time around.
