Florette Food Service has developed a new mango product for McDonald's restaurants in France to add to their growing range of packaged fruit, according to a report in Végétable.
Following its packaged apple, pineapple, melon, pear and nectarine products, Florette Food Service has now launched a mango product dubbed P'tite Mangue, which has been available to consumers since 18 January for a limited period.
The mangoes are sourced from Peru, shipped by boat and individually controlled, peeled and sliced at optimum ripeness.
For over 30 years, Florette Food Service and McDonald’s have worked together to help children enjoy fruit. In September 2016, just over half of all fruit consumed in French restaurants by under-15s was reportedly eaten at McDonald’s.
