Maxco has opened a new packaging facility in Castroville, CA, to cope with the needs of a widening customer base.
The new make-up and distribution plant has been located to cater for growers who are harvesting and cooling in the major growing districts of Castroville and north Salinas.
Steve Jewell, coastal region manager for Maxco Supply, said: 'We are really excited about the new space and looking forward to the 2011 season here.'
Maxco supplies the grape, tree fruit and citrus industries in the area, and anticipates growing its share of the berry market too.
