Dole Fresh UK has announced that Matthew Rowbury has been appointed as its new supply chain director, a new role at the company and one that he will first occupy on 20 September.
Mr Rowbury is an industry-renowned supply chain specialist and a former director of Natures Way Foods, Dole said in a statement, and has spent a number of years working in various supply chain and commercial roles at UK-based retailer Sainsbury's.
'Matthew will become an integral member of the executive leadership team participating in the strategic direction of Dole Fresh UK and will be responsible for all elements of the supply chain, managing the procurement, demand planner, commercial support and operation teams to deliver a first-class, cost efficient supply chain service.'
