Manor Fresh, the specialist supplier of potatoes and vegetables to the UK market, has revealed that it has awarded a contract to Gist to become a key logistics provider for the group.
According to Manor Fresh, Gist's extensive network coverage and the RFID cross-dock capability that complements its business operations were the key factors in agreeing the deal.
'Gist is providing Manor Fresh with robust yet flexible logistics solutions that are tailored to suit our needs,' said Manor Fresh commercial manager Michael Scott. 'Gist has listened to us and allowed us the flexibility that we need to provide our customers with the very highest-quality products.'
Gist's transport operation now collects around 2.75m cases of fresh vegetables each year from UK sites in Lincolnshire, Chipping Campden, Inverness and Arbroath.
