UK retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced that its new Brussels store, the company's first in Belgium since it closed its outlets in the country back in 2001, will open on 7 May.

The move forms part of M&S's new strategy in continental Europe, which has recently seen the retailer open stores in Paris, Amsterdam and the Hague.

According to brusselnieuws.be, the flagship store, which will boast food, clothing and interior design departments, will be located in the brand new Toison d’Or Shopping Complex on the Gulden Vlieslaan in uptown Brussels.
