The Greenery has announced the appointment of Kevin Doran, the managing director of Greenery UK Ltd., as the managing director of Greenery North America Bv. and the Netherlands-based operations of Greenery UK.
Mr Doran is to assume final responsibility for Greenery UK Bv., established in Barendrecht, the Netherlands, and Greenery North America Bv., covering Canada, Mexico and the US, with immediate effect.
Included in his mandate are, in addition to the existing responsibilities at Greenery UK Ltd., The Greenery's overseas business unit in Asia and the Middle East as well as Blue Sky Cargo, the group's airfreight service company.
In his new capacity, which will see him remain based at the company's UK offices, Mr Doran will report directly to Philip Smits, CEO of The Greenery Group.
'Kevin has years of experience in the North American fruit and vegetable industry, as well as retail and packaged goods sectors', Mr Smits explained. 'And in recent years, Kevin has led a successful campaign to strengthen The Greenery's position on the British market. We are certain that he will do the same for The Greenery in North America and its European business units. We wish him all the best in his new position.'
