Metro Group-owned Makro Cash & Carry in UK has appointed Stephen Blan as its operations director, according to a report by Planet Retail.
Blan, who will step into the role in January, will work alongside managing director Jürgen Schwarze and his board colleagues to improve Makro's position and achieve growth, the report said.
Martin Schumacher, the current operations director, will step down from the board upon Blan’s arrival and will continue to support the business in an advisory capacity.
