Spain fresh produce trade fair Fruit Attraction is preparing to welcome its largest ever Brazilian representation to its third edition, which will add to increased exhibitor presences from countries across Latin America.
The 2011 edition of the event, which will be held in the Spanish capital’s Feria de Madrid conference centre from 19-21 October, will include a delegation from Brazil, covering products including pineapples, avocados, mangos, grapes, papayas and limes.
Under the coordination of the Brazilian Institute of Fruits (IBRAF), Fruit Attraction will feature a number of leading Brazilian exporters, including Itacitrus, Rio Doce, Gibran Exportadores and RBR Trading.
In a statement, IBRAF manager Mauricio de Sá Ferraz said the event would enable Brazilian exporters to conclude sales agreements and meet new buyer contacts.
He said: “For IBRAF, participating in Fruit Attraction means an important opportunity to negotiate with countries in the Northern Hemisphere, at the same time as countries are looking for products in the South hemisphere.”
The Brazilian delegation adds to a strong Latin American representation for this year’s show, which will also feature companies from Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and Peru.
