Russian retail chain Magnit has reported that net sales came in at US$1bn (€696m) for July, an increase of over 57 per cent on the US$656m (€456m) recorded in the same period last year.
The total number of stores open in the country, as of July 2011, stood at 4,547, compared with the 3,551 stores open in 2010.
Net retail sales for the first seven months of the year climbed by 58 per cent to US$6.5bn, up from the US$4.1bn seen in the corresponding period last year.
