Russian food retailer Magnit has revealed that it experienced a year-on-year sales boom through the first quarter of the year ended 31 March.
Like-for-like sales grew 4.12 per cent on the same period of 2011, compared with quarterly like-for-like growth of 3.12 per cent in the prior quarter.
Total sales jumped 34.1 per cent in rouble terms through the quarter, the group said, up to RR100.6bn (US$3.39bn), boosted by the launch of over 150 new stores in the country.
