Danish group Maersk Line has announced that it will again be on hand at Fruit Logistica 2010, the world's leading trade fair for the international fresh fruit and vegetable industry, with a number of innovations to show off.
New developments on display will include the energy-saving reefer solution, QUEST, designed to help save 30kg of CO2 per container, per day, according to Maersk Line. The system fits in with Maersk Line's focus on the environment, with the group leading the industry in low-carbon shipping.
Additionally, Maersk Line will be showing off StarCare, a new passive Controlled Atmosphere (CA) system that helps banana exporters reach new markets and grow their businesses. Using innovative membrane technology, StarCare is designed to protect the quality of bananas for up to 50 days of transport and storage.
This year will mark the ninth-consecutive year of participation for theDanish shipping giant, with the group 'excited' to be taking part inthe event once more.
Maersk Line will be present in Hall 25, stand D-19 at Fruit Logistica, which take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds in Berlin, Germany on 3-5 February.
