Lufthansa Cargo has pulled out of a possible €1bn investment at Frankfurt airport in Germany following a court decision to ban flights between 11pm and 5am.
A court in Hesse put the ban in place after residents made an appeal over the noise, forcing Lufthansa to switch its night freighter services to alternative airports, IFW reported.
'Lufthansa still wants to invest, but the size is dependent on the night flight regulations,' a spokesperson said.
If the ban becomes permanent, it could set Lufthansa Cargo back somewhere in the 'double-digit millions of euros,' CEO Karl Ulrich Garnadt said.
