The third Cool Logistics Conference is set to take place on 20-22 September in Hamburg, Germany, where shippers and carriers of perishables will debate their future relationships.
Topics will include the necessary actions to avert the transport capacity shortage that threatened this year's fruit export season, organisers revealed, amid concerns that shortages will again occur in the run-up to Christmas.
Ken Kinscher, manager of corporate finance/mergers and acquisitions at M.M.Warburg will reportedly discuss the availability of financial resources for new technology and innovation in the reefer supply chain, as well as questioning whether the time is right for further mergers and acquisitions.
The latest trends in seafreight, airfreight, sea-air and intermodal transport will also be discussed by speakers from Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, Kuehne + Nagel, APL, CMA CGM, Damco, Hellmann Perishable Logistics, CoolBoxx and MOL.
