California-based citrus grower-shipper LoBrue Bros. has announced that it has filled the newly created role of vice-president of sales and marketing with Grower Express director of marketing Rick Osterhues.
Mr Osterhues, who has been in the fresh produce industry for some 20 years, will begin his new role on 4 October, The Packer reported.
Beginning his career as division manager for Chiquita Brands International, Mr Osterhues has also held roles at The Oppenheimer Group and Frank Capurro & Sons.
'It is great honour to be joining a family company with such a long-term commitment to the fresh produce industry,' said Mr Osterhues in a statement published by The Packer. 'I am looking forward to contributing to their relentless efforts to reinforce a leadership position in the citrus industry by developing creative and comprehensive solutions across the growing, packing and shipping areas of the business.'
