Discount retailer Lidl is to open a new headquarters in the Slovak city of Bratislava to manage the country's operations from a more central location.
Decentralisation from the previous operation out of the Schwarz Group-owned company's Czech Republic base is seen as an answer to rapid expansion, the group noted.
The construction of the four-story office should be launched in the Bratislava part of Ruzinov in the second half of February, Planet Retail reported, accommodating the headquarters and a new Lidl store.
