Representatives from Kiwifruit Vine Health (KVH) are meeting with kiwifruit growers in Waikato this week to outline the results of its initial investigation into how the deadly vine-killing disease Psa spread to the region.
According to Radio New Zealand, the meeting will take place in Te Awamutu today (6 September), just weeks after KVH has announced that it had received a positive result for Psa disease on a Hort16A Gold kiwifruit orchard in South Waikato.
KVH chief executive Barry O'Neil said that all blocks of kiwifruit within a 12km radius are being monitored, and that new infections had been discovered.
