Kraft Foods and the Chicago Botanic Garden have unveiled the Kraft Foods Garden at the food giant's global headquarters near Chicago.
The garden is expected to produce 14,000lb of food a year and everything that is harvested will be donated to local agencies for distribution among the city's poorest communities.
The garden's crops include organic lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, onions, beets and cucumbers.
Marc Firestone, Kraft's executive vice-president of corporate and legal affairs, said: 'We have a responsibility to fight hunger around the globe – including in our own backyard.'
