Dutch transportation group Kloosterboer's South African subsidiary (KIF SA) has opened a new 11,000m2 facility in Pinetown, located 20km from Durban.
This new facility enables Kloosterboer to guarantee the quality of the complete service with a one-stop-shop concept, the group said in a statement.
Through this approach, Kloosterboer aims to open branches in every country its clients operate in, assisting clients from the point of production to the final destination of their goods.
'For example, if citrus fruit is loaded from the packing facility of a farmer in South Africa, approved and then delivered to one of the Kloosterboer facilities in the Netherlands, with the one-stop-shop concept this service would be provided by KIF SA at one fixed price.
In addition to fruit logistics, KIF SA will also be providing forwarding of all other food related logistics, both for import and export.
