US-based vegetable grower Mastronardi Produce has revealed the appointment of Ken Silveira as its new president of west coast operations, working in a newly formed division called Mastronardi Produce West LLC.
Mr Silveira, the former president of Californian group Tanimura and Antle, is responsible for growing the group's brand and products among California retailers, according to The Packer.
He will be assisted in sales development by Laurie Gray, formerly of Greenhouse Gourmet.
Commenting on Mr Silveira's role, executive vice-president Paul Mastronardi said: 'For the last few years we've had a lot of retailers who want to see our brand more prominently on the west coast.'
