Retail analyst Kantar Worldpanel has launched an iPhone application for its UK grocery figures.
The app, which is free to download via the Apple iTunes Store, is the company’s first and provides the latest grocery market share figures at the touch of a button.
Users can also use the app to obtain data for the last three years, a useful tool when tracking the historical performance of British retailers.
Ed Garner, communications director at Kantar Worldpanel, said: “We’re excited to launch our app as it will enable businesses and media to access the latest intelligence on the UK’s major grocery retailers 24 hours a day.”
Data will be updated each month with the publication of Worldpanel's latest grocery share figures.
The information is available in simple charts which users can email to themselves or colleagues in a single click.
The app also features a section with the latest news on the grocery industry, video commentary and contact details should users require more information.
The latest grocery share figures will be available on Kantar Worldpanel’s iPhone app on Tuesday, 17 August.
