Jorge Brotons, president of leading Spanish importer Bonnysa, has been reelected as president of Spanish fresh produce producer-exporter federation Fepex.
As agreed at the association’s annual general assembly, held yesterday (16 December) in Madrid, Mr Brotons will serve for another four years at the head of the organisation.
In a statement, Fepex said that Mr Brotons had occupied the post of president since December 2006, during which time he had also presided over Fexphal (the Federation Entrepreneurs of Fruit and Horticultural Products) and Bonnysa, which currently works in a range of fresh produce categories from its head office in Alicante.
At its general assembly, the association also approved its Plan of Action for 2011, which has the objective of improving the competitiveness and profitability of the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector, including fresh-cut operations.
