Fresh produce importer JFC Group has secured a US$50m (€36m) loan from the Bank of Moscow, Russian media has reported.
The Russian group, whose companies produce, process and sell about 600,000tonnes offruit annually and own the Bonanza! brand, took on the funds to replenish its working capital, with credit due for repayment by 26 October 2012.
In August, the group announced a drop in net profit of 85 per cent for the first half of 2011, compared with the same period last year.
Net profit reportedly fell to Rbs45.5m (€1.1m), while revenue tumbled by 10.7 per cent to Rbs5.61bn.
