According to topfruit grower and Jazz trademark owner Enzafruit, Jazz apples made an impression at last week’s Tavola 2010, the fresh food exhibition held in Belgium every two years.
The event attracted over 17,000 buyers from the food industry, and Enzafruit revealed that the Jazz tastings were extremely popular.
“In comparison with the Tavola fair two years ago, Enzafruit can record a remarkable increase in name and interest,” the company stated. “For a lot of visitors, the Jazz apple was not a stranger anymore and was noted to be the best apple on the market. Its delicious sour-sweet aroma and firm structure that keep it from getting mealy, are top characteristics which make the Jazz apple very popular to the consumer.”
The company revealed that it established a number of new contacts at the fair and that it had planned several tastings for May and June 2010 in order to reach consumers directly.
