German wholesale markets association GFI has launched a new promotional campaign for Jazz apples in partnership with Enzafruit New Zealand, with a number of activities due to take place at independent retail and wholesale level in order to raise awareness of the brand among German trade and consumers.
According to GFI, the campaign will see a total of 38 Enza promotions take place in 11 German cities from 10 May to 3 July.
The promotional events are due to take place in Munich, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Essen, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Hannover, Bremen, Hamburg and Berlin.
Consumers will be offered the chance to taste Jazz apples and find out more about the benefits of eating the fruit, with shoppers purchasing 1kg of Jazz apples will be given a free branded apple slicer.
The Jazz marketing push forms one of a number of such campaigns being run by major fruit marketers in collaboration with GFI this year.
Alongside Enza, promotions are planned for kiwifruit brand Zespri, as well as other major apple and banana trademarks.
