Israeli grapefruit suppliers are optimistic about the imminent season, as they prepare to start shipments to Europe this week.
Limited volumes of South African grapefruit remain on the market this year, according to FreshPlaza, while shipments from Florida and Turkey are still a few weeks away.
Oron Ziv of exporter Mehadrin commented: 'Right now, the market is pretty much empty, so we're seeing pretty good potential and we're pushing hard on harvesting.'
