The fourth annual international pear congress, Interpera, is this year set to take place in the southern French city of Aix-en-Provence, on 9-10 June.
The aim of the congress is to pinpoint the evolving trends in the sector and to offer forecasts for the campaign to come.
The ANPP (national association of apples and pears), the La Pugère experimental centre and the AREFLH (Assembly of the European Regions Producing Fruit, Vegetables and Plants) have combined forces to put on the event, which will also include discussions on various topics, including varietal innovation and post-harvest quality control.
