Global logistics service provider IFCO Systems has announced that Wolfgang Orgeldinger will succeed the retiring Karl Pohler as the company's chief executive officer and group president of the re-usable plastic crates division of parent company Brambles Limited.

Orgeldinger has been chief operating officer at IFCO since 2002, responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, logistics, asset management and information technology. For two years prior to that position, he was chief information officer, responsible for e-logistics and information technology.

Before joining IFCO, Orgeldinger held various executive positions at IT distribution company Computer 2000, including executive vice president and managing director of the company's German arm.

“I am delighted to take up this position with IFCO and Brambles and look forward to working with our customers and partners worldwide over coming years,' he said. 'I am extremely grateful to Karl for his leadership, support and contribution during 13 successful years of leading and growing IFCO and look forward to working with him on a smooth leadership transition.”
