Swedish retailer ICA has progressed with its convenience store plans by opening a new ICA To Go pilot store in Hornstull, Stockholm.
The launch of the new store, which is located at a metro station, comes as the Ahold-owned group announces plans to shut its initial pilot store, Planet Retail reported.
Mats Munther, business development manager at ICA, said that the retailer had opened the initial pilot store to test its convenience offering, and having learned from this would move on and create the 'next generation of ICA To Go'.
