Andalusian interprofessional fresh produce association Hortyfruta has elected Fulgencio Torres Moral as its new president at its third annual general meeting.
In a statement, the Almería-based group announced the appointment of Mr Torres from the Association of Cooperatives of Granada as president, while Roque García Simón from the Andalusian Union of Small Farmers was named as vice-president.
Mr Torres takes over the role from Manuel Galdeano, president of El Ejido-based pepper, tomato and melon producer Murgiverde.
