Horticulture New Zealand (HortNZ) has announced that Andrew Fenton and Brian Gargiulo have both been re-elected to the group's board of directors following a vote by individual grower members.
Mr Fenton, a kiwifruit and avocado grower from Te Puke, is the president of HortNZ while Mr Gargiulo, a tomato grower with operations in Christchurch and Nelson, in the organisation's vice-president.
The two directors beat off competition from Jeff Wesley, managing director of Turners and Growers, in the postal vote.
Directors on the group's board each serve a three-year term with a portion of the board retiring by rotation each year, with candidates nominated by product groups and local grower associations affiliated to HortNZ.
