Leading Spanish fresh produce exporter Grupo Hortiberia has said that it has achieved “positive” results over the past 12 months through the reinforcement of its brand and an increase in distribution channels for its products.
In a statement, Hortiberia managing director Fermin Sánchez Navarro (pictured) said the Murcia-based company was confident of continuing its growth into 2009, claiming that its product quality would ensure success despite the current economic uncertainty.
The previous 12 months, he said, had resulted in “satisfactory” achievements for the export consortium, which is composed of nine principal grower members in Murcia and Valencia.
“2008 has been a year of intense work for Hortiberia, but one in which we have also achieved important results for our group,” Mr Sánchez said.
“We have been reinforced as a brand and have managed to increase the avenues of distribution for our products.”
