Netherlands-based fresh produce importer Hillfresh has kicked off its new Spanish melon season with the arrival of seedless watermelons under the Clink brand.
The company's new collaboration with well-known quality brand Clink is expected to consolidate its supply base further and fits into Hillfresh's vision of 'Tasty melons year-round’, a spokesperson said.
This year's melon season in the Spanish region of Almería is due to start later than normal as a result of recent bad weather.
The first Galia melons, under the Amy brand, are set to arrive in week 18, Hillfresh confirmed.
The Murcía season, meanwhile, will start in early June, with Hillfresh set to import a full range of melons under the brand Gregal.
