Kiwifruit marketer Zespri has named Dutch importer Hillfresh International as an officially licensed distributor.
Hillfresh becomes the third such partner for Zespri in the Netherlands, alongside Hagé International and Vroegop-Windig.
Fruitnet.com understands that supply of Zespri kiwifruit through Hillfresh will be overseen by the importer's Edward Kempeneers.
The Netherlands represents one of Zespri's key markets in Europe, with customers in the country procuring both Green- and Gold-branded kiwifruit on a year-round basis.
A spokesperson for Zespri welcomed confirmation of the new partnership deal: 'Zespri attaches great importance to cooperation agreements with its partners; they are important elements of our business and do all they can to help market increased sales volumes.'
