IFCO

IFCO, the global leader in reusable plastic containers (RPCs), has appointed Fred Heptinstall as senior vice president of global business development. He was formerly president of the company’s North American business, a position that has been filled by Dan Walsh.

Heptinstall, who has been with IFCO since 2004, will be in charge of evaluating opportunities for geographic expansion into undeveloped global markets, new product applications and services, and acquisition opportunities. He will also be part of IFCO’s strategic global business development and will represent it in relevant industry organisations, the company said.

Walsh previously held a number of positions at Brambles and Chep. Most recently he was vice president of sales and customer collaboration for Chep USA. “I look forward to leading IFCO’s customer and growth-focused efforts in the US and Canada,” he said. “It is a very exciting time for us at IFCO, and I'm delighted to be at the helm of such an innovative, customer-focused organisation.”
