Duffaut succeeds Alex Delrue, who has been managing both the Spanish and French subsidiaries in a dual role
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has revealed that Gilles Duffaut took over as the new managing director of its French subsidiary in mid-January.
Duffaut succeeds Alex Delrue, who has managed both the Spanish and French subsidiaries in a dual role for the past five years.
Hellmann noted that, with the creation of the additional position of managing director France, it was setting a ”strong signal” for ongoing growth and further development of its position in what it called a ”strategically important market”.
Since opening its first own air- and seafreight branch near the Paris Airport Charles de Gaulle in 2019, Hellmann said it had continuously invested in expanding its network and product portfolio in France.
Today, the logistics company is established in the French market with five branches and a wide range of services, from air- and seafreight to customs clearance and direct load offers for both local and multinational customers.
”The French logistics market is one of the most robust and dynamic in Europe and is characterised by its strategic location, advanced infrastructure and strong links to global trade routes,” the company stated.
”This makes France an important hub for international trade and offers significant growth potential.
“In addition to opening further branches in France, the full service provider is also planning to expand its Direct Load network throughout Europe,” Hellmann outlned.
With over 30 years of international expertise in the transport and logistics industry, Duffaut would further strengthen and sustainably expand Hellmann’s market position in France, it said.
”The appointment of Gilles Duffaut is an important step in our growth strategy,” said Jens Tarnowski, regional CEO West Europe at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
”We look forward to working with him and his team to expand our market position in France across all product areas and to further consolidate our network in France.
”At the same time, we would like to thank Alex Delrue, who has done an excellent job in his dual role in both Spain and France and will now refocus on developing the Spanish market,” Tarnowski added.
