Claudia Roller Port of Hamburg

Long-serving Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM) CEO Claudia Roller is to retire at the end of the year on health grounds, it has been revealed.

Roller, who has served the authority since 2008 both as an executive board member and then CEO, will step down from her position on 1 July and will act as a consultant until the end of the year.

“For me the decision to retire from working life is a difficult one,' noted Roller. 'My tasks and work at HHM have always given me great pleasure, working with so many cooperation partners, in the interest of our member companies in Hamburg’s port economy and in the region.'

Axel Mattern will oversee HHM's operations from 1 July, with the supervisory board searching for a permanent successor.
