Hamburg Port Authority has announced that the docking of the CMA CGM vessel Callisto last week marked the arrival of the first ship on the new FAL5 service, jointly operated by the French shipping group and Maersk Line.
The Far East Liner service links Hamburg in Germany with Port Kelang, Singapore, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian and Tanjung Pelepas.
According to the Authority, the Callisto boasts a slot capacity of 11,356 TEU (20ft standard containers) including 800 reefer connections, although it entered the Port of Hamburg with only a partial load of 6,677 TEU.
