Haifa port

German shipping company Hamburg Süd has announced that, as of 15 May and until further notice, there will be no congestion surcharge at the Israeli ports of Haifa & Ashdod.

The zero surcharge will reportedly be applicable for both southbound and northbound shipments between Israel and northern European ports.

According to Hamburg Süd, its decision was a direct results of the improved productivity and faster turnaround at both Israeli ports.
